Position Overview:
As we continue to grow and expand, we have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our team in Sliema, Malta. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting and financial needs of the business.
Location: Sliema, Malta
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the Group's taxes (incl payroll taxes, corporate tax, transfer pricing, VAT and other tax incentives);
- Partner with cross-functional teams (legal, regulatory, compliance, finance and other relevant stakeholders) to support business needs
- Stay up-to-date with changes in gaming taxes, domestic and international tax legislation
- Be the contact person towards authorities and regulators
- Liaise with external advisors on tax projects
- Advise management and the Group Board of Directors;
- Drive value-creating projects with a strong business mindset to optimise tax structure;
- Prepare tax computations, tax returns and other tax compliance documents as required;
- Assist in the compilation of the quarterly and yearly group tax reporting package reported
What experience you will bring:
- Strong experience (we think roughly 5-7 years) working with tax in an international environment
- Ideally experienced in iGaming
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing market conditions
- Problem-solving-oriented and has a curious mindset
- Analytical and has a strong interest in driving change and continuous improvement
- Able to transform complex tax issues into practical application to the business;
- Good knowledge of Maltese tax laws
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in law or similar
- Fluent in English
- Great communication and presenting skills
